Unreleased Bits & Pieces

After a year plus of waiting, Laurent finally released the first part of his new album, Unreleased Bits and Pieces. This album has the same mix of low tempo electronic and hip hop beats, with quite a bit of Pretty Lights flair. For the rest of the album visit his website, http://www.littlepeoplemusic.com/.

Change in Scenery

Although MTV gives hip-hop a bad name(in my opinion), the classics and underground artists give the genre much more justice. All these groups have used, as Del would say, exquisite fluency with rhyme and ingenuity. Even if your not big on hip hop I'd give these a chance.

Smörgåsbord Round 2

I can't seem to settle on just one genre so heres another mix up. Gaslamp Killers new EP, Death Gate is a little different than what you would usually hear at one of his shows. Lacking some of the heavy dubstep loops, he incorporates much more sporadic, experimental beats into his new project.

Smörgåsbord of Sounds

Anything that can make a 4 hour drive with the family go by fast, is great in my book. The highly instrumental hip hop beats of Patrick Lee definitely did the trick. If this leaves you wanting more, hit up his website. The entire album, The Last Thing, is free. Finally a little hip hop collaboration to mix things up a bit.

Free the robots brings many different genres of music together to create an incredibly unique sound. His new album Ctrl Alt Delete doesn't disappoint. The drums are a huge part of this album as well as electronic and bass tones. His Free the Robots EP is worth checking out for more jazz, and hip hop beats.

First post all summer

Here a little mix of some of my favorites at this moment in time mostly for geoffery cause he's been begging me to post for months now.

Beat Scene Heaven

If you're anywhere near LA tonight I highly suggest trying to get out to The Service Company's "Unofficial After Hardy." Don't let the name be decieving, this will be far from an alternative to Hard Summer. LA natives such as Nosaj Thing, and Tokimonsta will be in attendance. Accompanied by Low Limit, Daedelus, Jogger, Samiyam, and Baths as if the first two weren't enough incentive.
